I am currently obssessed with this cult classic eye makeup trend.

This eye flick suits every single woman and creates a sexy sultry look.

There are a number of products that can be used to achieve this look. I have tried eye liners, liquid eye liners and the M.A.C. FluidLine Eye liner Gel in a pot is by far the best product to give you a sexy eye flick that does not smudge and is applied with precision.

The procedure:

Dip the M.A.C. 266 Small Angle Brush into the pot, until you have a considerable amount of the fluidline gel on the bristles. Run the brush over the skin of your hand so the bristles only have the perfect amount of product on the brush and there are no clunky bits. Then gently run the angled brush against the cusp of your upper eye lid, where your lashes start. Start in the inner corner of your eye and work towards the outer section of the eye. The final crucial stage of applying this eye flick is that you get the angle of the flick in the right direction. If your line is too horizontal, you can actually make your eyes look sad. The idea of the eye flick is to angle upwards and create a sexy uplifted eye. So, the key is to follow the actual line of your bottom inner eye rim. Most women follow the line of their upper eye rim, this is where the error is made. If you look in the mirror and follow the line of your lower rim then you will see that the lower rim actually angles upwards. So, my best suggestion would be to get a sharp eyeliner, look closely in the mirror and follow your lower rim and mark a tiny little dot to where you’d like your eye flick to finish and the angel you’d like it to aim towards. Paint on the flick and stop just before the marked dot, then simply wipe the dot off with a cotton ear swab.

The 266 Brush is very sharp and creates extremely precise lines. The gel sets and does not smudge, as most eye liners do. You can gradually build your eye flick. you can start thin and short or for a more dramatic look your flick can be thicker and extend further out.

Tip#1 Avoid using eyeshadows with this eye flick, instead opt for highlighters like Benefit HighBeam or Nars Multipurpose Stick in Copacabana. The highlighter can be applied on the actual eye lid and inner corners of the eyes (near the tear duct) to open up the eye.

Tip#2 This eye trend looks fantastic with a punchy red lip.
